MAERIAL FEED & MEASUREMENT

INTEGRATED FEED & MEASUREMENT SYSTEMS

Daito production lines are equipped with Daito's patented pinch roller / measuring disc systems. The benefits include:

Proven to suit both short and long products.
Suits the widest range of different profiles without needing additional setup, unlike other brands.
The modular onboard system is built right into the machine. This ensures each line is configured utilising the least amount of floor space.
Optimisations can be made for footprint, autonomy, processing time, and minimum product size.

PINCH ROLLER FEED

The workpiece is fed by powerful pinch rollers located on the in-feed / out-feed sides of the machine. Even the heaviest workpiece is fed efficiently and accurately.

MEASURING DISC

For precise measurements, twin disks work together. If the measurements of each disk vary, an alarm will be issued to stop the machine.

LIFT AND CARRY SYSTEM

LIFT & CARRY

Probably the best system to handle the wide range of structural steel profiles available. The lift and carry system has the heaviest weight lifting capacity out of any brand or design. Another benefit of hydraulic lift and electrical movement is that there is no dragging noise, no wear, and no maintenance.

CHAIN TYPE

Chain-type drag systems are good for smaller profiles. Commonly used on the Daito DB3C machines allowing for quick and easy stockyard loading.

UNLOADING SYSTEMS

DISCHARGE TABLE

Simply and effectively remove both long and short products from the line.

The pusher bar will push the cut pieces from the line onto the discharge table making it easy for a crane or forklift to pick the material.

AUTOMATIC PICK & PLACE GANTRY FOR SAW

For the highest level of automation for large and heavy processing shops. Daito developed the Automatic Gantry removal system for GT series band saws. The telescopic arm is fitted with the highest level industrial magnet automatically locates the scrap parts to removed from the saw line (No matter size, weight or shape). The Auto Gantry is also very intelligent and will load the scrap bin automatically and evenly to distribute the weight allowing for better handling of the waste bin.

Automatically moving materials through the production line eliminates manual handling and human intervention. This ultimately reduces labour hours and costs while increasing efficiency and profit.

Roller conveyors and cross transports are used to transfer material between various machines. These hardware elements allow a modular approach to building custom beamlines. The choice of the cross transport depends on the particular needs and constraints of the workshop it needs to be installed in.

BUFFER LINE MANAGEMENT

Moving material between machines is based on Daito's line system management system.

HIGHLY EFFICIENT
* Making sure that machines run as efficiently as possible: with machines completing processes at different throughput times for different profiles and different products, it is necessary that buffers are large enough to make sure that a machine is not waiting idly for the next profile or production batch.

OPTIMISED ZONES
* Optimal use of cross transports: with some profiles, the cross transports can be filled with minimal space in between and some profiles require handling space. Sensors in the cross transport, verify the expected type of profile and ensure optimal use of the cross transports.
