INDEPENDENT DRILL HEADS PLUS SUB-AXIS
Each of the three (3) high-speed drilling spindles (Top / Left / Right) can independently move in all directions along the workpiece.
This ensures the hole pitch and accuracy are always precise.
Plus drill head has its own Automatic Tool Changer (ATC).
NEW LAYOUT MARKING ULTRA-FAST
In addition to high-performance carbide drilling, the CUD3C1050 performs clean, fast and precise weld layout markings as illustrated below. ‘PRE-WELDING’
Together with the optional under-web marking unit, it’s possible to mark welding lines and letters on all 4 sides of the workpiece.
This automation saves time and money all the while dramatically reducing human errors.
DRILL FEATURES
3 DRILL SPINDLES
CUD3C is equipped with 3 spindles. Each spindle is capable of high-speed carbide drilling, milling, tapping, countersinking and new high-speed layout marking.
INDEPENDENT TRAVELING DRILLS
Each of the 3 drill heads travel independently in all directions allowing all holes within range to be drilled without continually re-indexing and re-clamping the workpiece. This means much higher accuracy and higher productivity.
4 SIDE LAYOUT MARKING
New high-speed layout marking is 8 to 10 times faster than traditional scribe marking. The workpiece is stationary for maximum reliability and accuracy.
AUTOMATIC TOOL CHANGING
Three (3) Independent tool changers for each of the drill heads. This allows for a variety of uninterrupted drilling / marking operations with different tools.
PINCH ROLLER SYSTEM
The workpiece is fed by powerful pinch rollers located on the in-feed / out-feed sides of the machine. Even the heaviest workpiece is fed efficiently and accurately.
DUAL MEASURING DISKS
For precise measurements, twin disks work together. If the measurements of each disk vary, an alarm will be issued to stop the machine.
FLANGE HEIGHT GAUGES & SUPPORTS
The Flange height gauges not only support flanges, but also measure flange distortion that might remain after being vertically clamped.
WEB SUPPORTS
Web supports prevent thinner webs from bending under the pressure of drilling. This feature reduces drill bit failure and improves hole quality.
POSITIONING COMPENSATION
The workpiece positioning error caused by inertia is compensated by the positioning of each drill.
4 VERTICAL CLAMP ROLLERS
During the material feed, four vertical rollers clamp evenly to assist distorted material is firmly held down. Angles and flat bars are also able to be clamped as well as H beams.
PENDANT OPERATION PANEL
The pendant mounted operation panel can be easily swung to either side of the machine for easy setup and operation.
CNC CONTROL
Anybody can operate our user friendly CNC controlled machines. The intelligent CNC takes all the worries and hard work out of programming.
DRILL OPTIONS
CHIP SWEEPER
After drilling, the chip sweeper cleans out built-up drill chips from the beam. Making sure no damage to the saw blade edge. Also ensures a clean and safe work environment with no chips spread throughout the workshop.
CHIP CONVEYOR
Drill chips built up inside the machine are automatically removed by the chip conveyor.
LASER MARKER
Irregular or manual positioning of the workpiece is made easy using the laser beam.
UNDER-WEB MARKING
For the welding layout marking, either scratching or scribing is available. (Sample photo is scratching)
WEB HEIGHT GAUGES
Two web height gauges check actual web height to allow automatic compensation for possible irregularities. (Optional)
MATERIAL LOADING & UNLOADING
Daito lift and carry cart system for loading and unloading to material stockyards. Gain increased productivity without having to rely on overhead cranes or forklifts.
